Pink Ribbon Good

“This grant was specifically allocated to providing PRG services ( door-to-door rides to/from treatment, fresh and healthy meals, and house cleaning kits) to breast or gynecological cancer patients and their families living in Eastern Niagara County. Funding provided 624 meals ( at a cost to PRG of $10/meal including ingredients, meal preparation and shipping directly to our clients’ doors), 51 rides to treatment via Uber Health (at an average cost to PRG of$25/one-way trip) and 15 house cleaning essentials kits ($180/box including non-toxic cleaning supplies and a light-weight vacuum). This grant had an impact on the quality of PRG’s program effectiveness. PRG is a fully philanthropic organization, meaning that all of our funding comes from individual donors, grants, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events…we do not receive government funding. Because of your grant, PRG was able to provide immediate, tangible financial and emotional support to those battling breast or gynecological cancer in Niagara County. Our services helped to mitigate the adverse financial burden of cancer treatment by addressing food (36.4% of clients) and ride insecurity (16.7% of clients). Additionally, our programs helped to decrease stress and ameliorate feelings of loneliness and isolation.”
