Gifting Guidelines

The Grigg Lewis Foundation, Inc., is a private non-operating foundation. Our board members have a fiduciary responsibility to honor our founder’s wishes, and to ensure that the Foundation continues in perpetuity. Each request is reviewed carefully and objectively to ensure that we are here, as an asset to the residents of Eastern Niagara County and Western New York for many years to come.

The Foundation will consider grants for projects or programs that provide a benefit to Eastern Niagara County residents. 

Multi-year grants, challenge or matching grants are encouraged.

  • Community Improvement 
  • Educational Programming
  • Local Historical Preservation 
  • Health & Wellness Programs (non-clinical)
  • Human Services
  • Senior Programs
  • Youth Programs

The Foundation gives lower priority to requests for scholarships and for religious organizations not historically supported by our founder, Henrietta Grigg Lewis. The Foundation is unable to make grants to individuals.
